NASCAR gets back into action after a week off as the series moves to Bristol Motor Speedway for the Food City 500 on Sunday.NASCAR gets back into action after a week off as the series moves to Bristol Motor Speedway for Food City 500 odds on Sunday.

Carl Edwards +450, Jeff Gordon +600 and Kyle Busch +500 are the three favorites in NASCAR odds for this race that can be seen on FOX television at 1:30pm EST.

The defending Food City 500 odds champion is Jeff Gordon while Carl Edwards won the last race in August. The pole is a great place to be at Bristol as 22 races have been won from the first starting spot.

Jeff Gordon and Kurt Busch +700 are tied for the most wins at Bristol among active drivers with five wins each.

There is no doubt that Kyle Busch will be popular in Food City 500 odds this week. He won this race in 2007 and last summer he led 415 of the 500 laps before finishing second.

It could be time for Jeff Gordon to get a win in NASCAR odds. Gordon has not won in quite some time but he is racing great this year and is way overdue for a victory. He is a five-time winner at Bristol and will be a very popular choice in Food City 500 odds.

Carl Edwards has won two of the last three races at Bristol and the reason for his low NASCAR odds this week.

Another driver to watch this week is Kevin Harvick +1200. He had two top-five finishes at Bristol last year and has been in the Top 5 in half of his career starts at Bristol. He is 12-1 in Food City 500 odds.

Kurt Busch has won five times at Bristol and his run at Atlanta two weeks ago has put Busch back among the drivers who can contend. He is the fourth choice in NASCAR odds this week at 7-1.

Greg Biffle +1500 has good numbers at Bristol. He has two Top Five finishes in his last four races and could be a nice longshot choice in NASCAR betting odds. Clint Bowyer is another longshot that could score at Bristol. He has been in the Top 10 in his last four Bristol starts.

If you want a bigger NASCAR betting longshot you might want to consider Kasey Kahne +1500. He is 18-1 in Food City 500 odds. Kahne has two Top-10 finishes in his last four races at Bristol.

Harvick is not the NASCAR betting favorite in this week’s race though. That honor goes to Jimmie Johnson who has won the last two weeks. Johnson is the 9-2 favorite in Kobalt Tools 500 odds at

NASCAR betting odds are getting ready to roll the dice in Las Vegas on Sunday at 3:00pm EST with the Shelby American that can be seen on FOX. After the first two races of the season it is the Richard Childress cars that lead the standings but Kevin Harvick and Clint Bowyer are not among the favorites this week in NASCAR betting odds.

The Daytona 500 may be the most popular race in NASCAR but the real season begins on Sunday in California with Auto Club 500 odds at 3:00pm EST and can be seen on FOX. Daytona is a restrictor plate mess and what happened last week rarely has any carryover effect to the rest of the season. "In a lot of ways, it is the start of the season,” Denny Hamlin
