![]() Kyle Busch will look to defend his title as NASCAR moves to Atlanta this week for Kobalt Tools 500 odds. Busch is one of the favorites in NASCAR odds along with Jimmie Johnson and Carl Edwards. Busch, Edwards and Johnson are about 5-1 in Kobalt Tools 500 odds as co-favorites with Jeff Gordon the fourth NASCAR betting choice at about 4-1. Last year in Atlanta, Kyle Busch won the race while Tony Stewart finished second. Jeff Gordon was the pole winner. There has been a different winner in Atlanta in every spring race this decade. Last year Kyle Busch led for 173 laps while Dale Earnhardt Jr. who is 15-1 in Kobalt Tools 500 odds led for 62 laps. This will be the 100th race held at Atlanta Motor Speedway. History shows that the pole sitter has won this race 10 times, more than any other spot. Johnson has been excellent at Atlanta in his career with three wins and ten Top-10 finishes. His average finish is 9.1. Tony Stewart is another driver who has done well as he has finished second the past two years and got the victory back in 2002. He could be a good choice in NASCAR odds at double-digits this week. Carl Edwards, who is one of the favorites this week in Kobalt Tools 500 odds, was the winner in the fall race in Atlanta last year. Atlanta is the fastest race track on the NASCAR schedule. The track has hosted 99 Sprint Cup events since opening in 1960. Bobby Labonte currently holds the record for most wins with six among active drivers. Gamblers who are looking at the Kobalt Tools 500 odds may want to keep a few things in mind. Matt Kenseth had a great two weeks to start the NASCAR season and then blew an engine last week at Las Vegas. Kenseth could bounce back this week in Kobalt Tools 500 odds at Atlanta where he has five straight Top-10 finishes. So far this season with three races in the books, no driver has finished in the Top 10 in every race. Only four drivers have finished in the Top 10 in the last two races. They are Kyle Busch, Jeff Gordon, Greg Biffle and Brian Vickers. A total of 22 drivers have had Top 10 finishes so far this season. |
