![]() The main event in UFC 96 odds on Saturday night in Columbus Ohio is the bout between Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Keith “The Dean of Mean” Jardine. UFC 96 odds have Jackson a -350 favorite while Jardine is listed at +250. There are a total of 10 bouts on the UFC 96 card, five of which will be televised. Many gamblers are choosing to take Jackson in UFC 96 odds over Jardine. Jackson is the former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion and with a win over Jardine he will get a shot at regaining the title against Rashad Evans. Jardine has played the role of spoiler before in UFC betting as he upset Chuck Liddell and Forrest Griffin in the past. Perhaps a better nickname for Jardine instead of his current “The Dean of Mean” would be “Spoiler.” Jardine has definitely upset the apple cart in the past in UFC betting action. There are reasons Jackson is better than a 3-1 favorite in UFC odds against Jardine. Past history has shown that Jardine has a weak chin and crumbles under early pressure. If he gets through the early part of the fight he becomes dangerous but most bettors don’t think he will make it out of the first round against Jackson. The danger for Jackson in this bout is that he is looking ahead to the bout against Evans. Jardine has already proven that looking past him is a dangerous thing to do. Just ask Liddell or Griffin. If Jardine can make it out of the first round he has a chance to pull off the upset in UFC 96 odds. The other four fights on the televised portion of UFC 96 odds have Gabriel Gonzaga favored against Shane Carwin, Matt Hamill favored against Mark Munoz, Pete Sell a small favorite against Matt Brown and Brandon Vera a big favorite against Mike Patt. The five bouts on the preliminary card for UFC 96 have Jim Miller against Gray Maynard, Tim Boetsch facing Jason Brilz, Ryan Madigan taking on Tamdan McCrory, Jason Day against Kendall Grove and Aaron Riley versus Shane Nelson. UFC 96 action will be televised on Pay per View beginning at 10 pm Eastern on Saturday, March 7th. |
