Eagles at Giants - 1:00pm EST on FOX

The defending Super Bowl champion New York Giants (12-4) host a very familiar foe in the NFC Divisional playoffs on Sunday at 1:00pm EST on FOX as they play the Philadelphia Eagles (10-6-1) in NFL playoff odds. The Giants suffered their only home loss of the season on December 7th to the Eagles by a score of 20-14. Brian Westbrook rushed for 131 yards and caught six passes for 72 yards in the Eagles victory. Westbrook has been a Giant killer in his career with seven touchdowns in 12 career games against New York.

The Eagles have won four of their last five games and look similar to how the Giants looked last year during their Super Bowl run. The Eagles took care of the Minnesota Vikings last week 26-14 in the Wild Card game and comes into New York playing extremely well. NFL Playoff bookmakers have the Giants -4 point favorites at home in NFL playoff odds against the Eagles with a total of 40. "I think we're dangerous," said cornerback Asante Samuel, "We've just got to see how it plays out." Quarterback Donovan McNabb has thrown for 1,146 yards with nine touchdowns and one interception in his last five games. "I think the Eagles are the hottest team in the NFL right now," said New York defensive end Justin Tuck, "They may be the sixth seed, but they sure aren't playing like it."

The Giants earned a first round bye for the NFL playoffs and it may have been needed. "Last week was good for us," said quarterback Eli Manning, “We need a good week of practice and preparation because it's about execution at this time of year, especially against a team we face twice a year in games that always seem to come down to the fourth quarter." The bye allowed running back Brandon Jacobs to get healthy again. He rushed for 1,089 yards and 15 touchdowns this season and combined with Derrick Ward to give the Giants two 1,000-yard rushers in the same season. New York led the NFL in rushing with 157.4 yards per game. New York has won three of the last four games against Philadelphia and six of the last nine overall. NFL Playoff odds at Caesars sportsbook have the Giants -4.5 point betting favorites over the Eagles with a betting total of 39.5 in NFL Playoff odds.
