![]() The main event in UFC 91 odds from Las Vegas starting around 10:00pm EST at the MGM Grand will feature a return to the Octagon for former UFC Heavyweight Champion Randy “The Natural” Couture (16-8-0) against the beast known only as Brock Lesnar (2-1-0). UFC 91 odds have Brock Lesnar -125 favored over Randy Coulture -105 in UFC 91 betting. Couture will step into the Octagon once again as the underdog in UFC 91 odds as the smaller and older fighter standing 6’2” and weighing about 220 lbs. at 46 years old compared to the 6’3”, 265 lbs. of pure 31 year old muscle that Lesnar possesses. Couture has built an impressive UFC resume with heavyweight wins over Maurice Smith, Vitor Belfort, Kevin Randleman and Pedro Rizzo. In UFC 68 odds, Couture stunned the UFC betting world when he won his third heavyweight crown over Tim Sylvia. Couture then came back to defend his title at UFC 74 and did so in deciding fashion with a third round TKO of Gabriel Gonzaga. Despite being an underdog in UFC 91 odds and the obvious weight difference he must overcome, Couture has faced and brought down mammoths before on his way to collecting three heavyweight titles and two UFC light heavyweight titles. “I have a lot of respect for Brock as an athlete and a collegiate wrestler, but I know exactly where he’s at, he’s trying to make the transition from a wrestler to mixed martial arts,” said Couture. “I’ve been there, done that, and I know what the pitfalls are. This will be an interesting matchup, and it will be very nice to be home in the Octagon for this fight.” Lesnar burst onto the MMA scene in June of 2007 after establishing himself as a four-time All-American, two-time Big Ten Champion and 2000 NCAA Division I National Champion collegiate wrestler. In Lesnar’s first fight at UFC 81, he lost to Frank Mir but came back with a vengeance to defeat Heath Herring in UFC 87 betting. "It's an honor to fight Randy Couture, he's a legend in this sport, and to get the chance to test myself against him is a gift," said Lesnar. "A lot guys would love to have this opportunity, Randy is the UFC heavyweight champion. There is one goal that I've had since I started training in MMA and that is to capture the title. Now that I'm getting the chance, nothing is going to stop me. I'm walking out of the Octagon with the belt around my waist." |
