The great online poker starting hands are at a premium when you consider that number. You definitely must act when receiving the power poker hands at online gambling sites. The top three poker hands in Texas Holdem are pretty easy to identify and to play. You have aces, kings and queens. You should almost always pound these hands with raises from any position in Texas Holdem. How you play other top online poker starting hands can be a little bit trickier and it is those we want to concentrate. The next two or three online poker hands are up for debate in terms of how powerful they are at online poker sites but in reality they shouldn’t be. The 4th most powerful hand should be ace-king suited. Some people will put jacks in as the next hand after the top three but jacks are so vulnerable after the flop because anytime an ace, king or queen flops you are in serious trouble. Ace-king suited has some advantages and some disadvantages. The huge advantage for big slick suited is that it is a great drawing online poker hand. You can have top pair with top kicker, second best pair with best kicker, top set, second best set, or you can draw to the nut flush with the top two kickers. At any online poker site though, you will always have straight possibilities. There are great drawing possibilities with ace-king suited. The disadvantage to this hand is that it is not a made hand. You need help to make your poker hand. With jacks you don’t. Pocket jacks are a medium high starting online poker hand that you can still gives you a straight possibility with a lot of help, plays well with low cards on the board and is a made hand. The problem we talked about earlier though is that an ace, a king or a queen puts you in trouble. The next Texas Holdem poker hand at an online poker site is ace-queen suited. This is similar to ace-king suited but not quite as strong because that queen has some vulnerability. The good news is that you have the nut flush draw and strong possibilities with pairs and straights. The next few online poker hands are similar in strength. You have king-queen suited, ace-jack suited, ace-king unsuited and pocket tens. All of these are strong hands but are not automatic raising hands like the previous ones.
