Atlanta Falcons at Tampa Bay Buccaneers Betting Odds

The Atlanta Falcons can say they are undefeated going into week 2 after beating the Lions 34-21 at home as 1 point underdogs in NFL odds but don’t expect the same result this week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Falcons will be relying heavily on running back Michael Turner who turned in 220 yards against the Lions with two touchdowns and quarterback Matt Ryan who threw for 9-of-13 passes for 161 yards with a touchdown. Jerious Norwood also added 99 total yards with a touchdown. The Falcons were supposed to be one of the worst teams for NFL betting this year and instead head to Tampa Bay as only 7 point underdogs to play the defending NFC South champions.

Either the Falcons will jump to a 2-0 start in NFL betting odds or will hand the Buccaneers their first win of the season. The Buccaneers are 7 point favorites in NFL odds with a total of 37.5 at BetUS sportsbook and the game will be at 4:05pm EST on FOX. It looked like the Buccaneers would be able to mount a 4th quarter comeback against the New Orleans Saints last week as 3 point underdogs in NFL odds but quarterback Jeff Garcia threw an interception with 40 seconds left in the game which sealed the 24-20 loss.

Although he threw for 221 yards with a touchdown, Coach Jon Gruden was not impressed with the interception and has put Garcia on the bench for the game against the Buccaneers. Instead quarterback Brian Griese will get the start. The Buccaneers defense was also a bit sketchy allowing Drew Brees to throw for 343 yards with 3 touchdowns, allowed the Saints 438 total yards, had only 1 sack but did manage to snag an interception.
