Fourth-ranked Villanova meets fifth-ranked West Virginia on Monday night at 7:00pm EST in a game that can be seen on ESPN. The Wildcats are coming off their first conference loss of the season as they were outscored at Georgetown 103-90 on Saturday as 2-point underdogs in college basketball odds. That loss snapped an 11-game winning streak for Villanova. "That was not one of our better performances, but you've got to give Georgetown most of the credit. They jumped on us," coach Jay Wright said. "I think just getting down like that early here and playing that team from behind is really difficult to do." Villanova will now have to try and avoid losing two straight as they meet West Virginia in sports betting picks on Monday. The Mountaineers are 5.5-point favorites in college basketball odds at online sportsbooks with a total of 150.
West Virginia can tie Villanova for second place in the Big East behind Syracuse if they get a victory. Last year it was West Virginia winning 93-72 over Villanova as Da'Sean Butler had a career-high 43 points. West Virginia is coming off a 70-51 win last Wednesday over Pittsburgh that will be remembered more for the fans throwing things on the court than West Virginia’s 19 point win. They followed that up with a 79-60 rout of St. John’s on Saturday as 7.5-point favorites in sports betting picks. Butler had a season-high 33 points in that win. "It's always good when the other four guys are looking for Da'Sean," head coach Bob Huggins said. "That makes us better." Bet West Virginia -5.5 as home favorites in college basketball odds against the Villanova with a 10% bonus and 110% poker instant bonus.
